Ogni account WhatsApp Business riceveva 1.000 conversazioni gratuite al mese, e le conversazioni aperte da un annuncio click-to-WhatsApp o da un pulsante di pagina erano gratuite.

Meta faceva pagare ogni messaggio template consegnato, con prezzo in base al paese del destinatario e a quanti messaggi venivano consegnati a quel paese nel mese solare: fasce che andavano dai primi 250.000 a oltre 25 milioni. Le risposte dentro una «finestra di assistenza clienti» di 24 ore aperta dall’utente erano gratuite.
Quando i prezzi possono cambiare
Meta pubblica un calendario dei prezzi, cosa insolita e molto utile: le tariffe possono cambiare solo il primo giorno di un trimestre solare (1 gennaio, 1 aprile, 1 luglio o 1 ottobre) e mai nel mezzo.
Si impegna anche sul preavviso: almeno un mese prima di modificare il listino, tre mesi prima di aggiungere qualcosa al modello di prezzo e sei mesi prima di cambiare il modello stesso. Il passaggio alla tariffazione a messaggio di luglio 2025 è stato annunciato con circa nove mesi di anticipo.
Quindi un trimestre passato senza annunci è un trimestre senza variazioni, e le cifre del nostro listino restano valide fino al trimestre successivo.
Tutte le modifiche registrate
Dalla più recente alla più remota. Le modifiche tariffarie mostrano la cifra precedente e quella nuova in dollari statunitensi, prese dai listini di Meta del trimestre precedente e successivo: mai convertite da un’altra valuta, perché i listini locali di Meta non sono riproducibili per conversione.
Altri nove mercati escono dai loro gruppi regionali e passano a tariffe proprie: Bangladesh, Iraq, Nepal e Sri Lanka ottengono tariffe di utilità e autenticazione più basse, mentre Kazakistan, Kuwait, Marocco, Oman e Ucraina le vedono salire. Tutti e nove ottengono una tariffa di autenticazione internazionale superiore alla loro attuale tariffa regionale di autenticazione.
Annunciato in anticipo secondo il calendario dei prezzi di Meta, che richiede un mese di preavviso per modificare il listino. Le cifre dovevano essere pubblicate entro il 1 settembre 2026.
I messaggi di servizio diventeranno a pagamento, ponendo fine alle conversazioni di servizio gratuite e illimitate introdotte a novembre 2024.
Confirmed on Meta’s own pricing page under the rate-card updates effective 1 October 2026 (announced 27 May 2026, with four months’ notice). A service message is a free-form, non-template reply and can still only be sent inside an open 24-hour customer service window; what changes is that sending one now costs the market’s utility rate once a phone number is past its 1,000 free service messages for the month. The free tier resets monthly and is counted per business phone number.
Utility templates sent in reply to a user inside the open 24-hour customer service window become chargeable, having been free since 1 July 2025. They now bill at the market’s utility rate like any other utility message.
Part of the same 1 October 2026 rate-card update (announced 27 May 2026). Until 30 September 2026 a utility template delivered inside an open service window was free; from 1 October the window no longer waives its cost.
Beyond the nine markets going standalone, the October card also raised marketing rates in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Rest of Asia Pacific and Rest of Middle East regions, and utility and authentication rates in Pakistan, Peru and South Africa.
